IB Diploma Programme (Scholars)
Welcome!
Inderkum High School has been fully authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme as of February 27, 2014. We received authorization for the Middle Years Programme (grades 6-10), in conjunction with Natomas Middle School, on January 22, 2016.
Scholars is an honors program to prepare students in grades 9 and 10 for the rigors, breadth and depth of the IB Diploma Programme. Students apply to be part of the program and are scheduled in accelerated classes taught by IB-trained teachers.
Applications for the Class of 2030 will open on November 15 and are due by January 31, 2026. Scroll down a bit and click on Application to find the link along with a "how to" document. If you’re interested in applying for the Scholars Class of 2029 or taking IB Diploma Programme courses as part of the Class of 2028, please email first for information once the application is opened. Notifications of acceptance will go out in March 2025.
A great way to find out about Inderkum Programs is to attend the NUSD Secondary Showcase happening on November 12. We do not offer tours during the school day, though we are scheduling a Tiger Tour Night for January. After that, your next opportunity to visit will be during Inderkum's Open House, the evening of March 10. Coordinators and current students will be at all three of these events to answer questions. Please note that there is a separate enrollment process for Inderkum that also needs to be completed in order for your student to be considered for Scholars/IB. Please review this chart carefully to learn the required steps to complete your student’s enrollment.
